If you want deep soul, this is as deep as it gets. Heavy stuff that will send shivers down your spine... Both tracks on this 45 are brilliant. "Deep Inside You" is probably more accessible due to it's subtle downtempo groove. The flipside, however, is really something special. "World That's Not Real" has a haunting melody with a slight oriental touch that adds to the otherworldly atmosphere created by the excellent backing band, particularly the ghostlike vibes. Gloria Taylor's voice is piercing and edgy and sounds like she's singing from the darkest & loneliest place in the universe. In the course of her career Taylor has recorded several great songs but this one is truly outstanding!
